My favorite season is here AND my favorite month. I’m going to make every effort to value and enjoy each day (even though I can’t believe it is here ALREADY!).

Happy Birthday to my brother Bill today.

If you haven’t already and particularly if you are in your 40’s, I recommend listening to “Bossy Pants” by Tina Fey. I just started it on my commute this morning. VERY enjoyable and I’m amazed at how much of it I can relate to. I might even go so far as to say it’s inspiring me (MIGHT – don’t want to set expectations that I’m going to DO anything with the inspiration).

I’ll spend my day today finishing a winter wreath for my front door, organizing my dressing room and doing some creative projects.  Wonder where I get it from?  The one I call mom.  Thanks mom for everything you’ve taught me – some things you realize and some that you don’t.

A beautiful fall day on Lockport Street

What a beautiful weekend in Plainfield, Ill.  Although I was out in the back yard most of the time, I had to pause to take a few pictures of the front of the house. Thanks to my awesome girlfriends for their gifts that help to make the front porch fall-festive.

The pumpkins are from Teri and the beautiful white mums are from Sue.

Happy happy happy Birthday to my friend Lisa!  I met Lisa at my first job out of college (which lasted all of 3 months I think) but our friendship has lasted now for holy cow about 17 years!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Wow.  What to write on this one…

I guess I’ll keep it simple.

Raise a glass of Pinot Grigio to the best Mom a girl could ask for! 

She’s a cheerleader, a nurse (although admittedly not a great one), a decorator, a chef, a business woman, a friend, a fabulous daughter, and a pretty cool grama; she can solve the worlds problems over a glass or two on any given Saturday afternoon :); she’s funny, talented, and smart.  Ok.  So this is not so simple, but our relationship hasn’t always been either… but that is all part of what makes it so good today.
